#0008 - Nissacom
The first snake creature to grace the drawing count, the Nissacom was inspired by the mythical snake from Japanese folklore, the Tsuchinoko. Just look at that cute little chunky thing!
As for it's name, I followed a Pokémon Gen-1 naming technique of another snake creature.
There are quite a few more upcoming creatures that will be the first of that species of creature and their naming will follow a similar style. For example, a different snake-like creature will borrow the suffix "-issacom" to denote it is similar in nature to the Nissacom. Just trying to keep things organized.
Bestiary Description:
Once thought to be only found in the tales of legend, the Nissacom has returned in staggering numbers and cemented a foothold among the other creatures found across these great lands (despite not having feet).
Though small in size, these snake-creatures are not to be trifled with. They house enough venom in a single fang to fell a Rumpeleon (#0090) in a matter of minutes.
Take caution if you stumble upon a den of these vicious serpents, elsewise, you may never live to tell the tale of your escape.
